The staff were warm friendly and very welcoming, they characterised "northern hospitality" for me. Its a shame the hotel in which they worked was so tired looking. It really didn't do them justice.
I didn't much enjoy my stay in Gomersal Park and I would try to avoid returning. The staff were very positive and very friendly, the hotel however looked and smelt like a very dated old folks home. That was my instant impression and when I got up to my room that impression was very much confirmed.
The rates were good and it was in close proximity to Oakwell Hall.
The room was overlooked by an adjacent room.
Beautiful location - green fields and trees, quiet and relaxing. Rooms spacious and very clean. Ample car parking. Varied choice of food at breakfast.
Liked having the spa and used it, but it is in need of refurbishing. I live in London and am used to places that have invested lots of money in such facilities fairly recently. Better if you posted the dinner menu in the lift, or made it available on screen in rooms. Also, breakfast could be improved by adding muesli to the cereals, better fresh fruit and some crusty rolls. It was all a bit too packaged. Reason for staying was family history research in the local area.
It has a very warm and stylish ambience
Was a tiny bit dusty and we had an intermittant loud noise throughout the nite each time someone flushed the toilet in the building, but other than that, can't fault it!
Great location felt is tho you were in the country. Service good, very comfortable hotel. Breakfast excellant.
Staining in the toiliet bowl.
Loved the hotel but found the roooms a bit of a rabit warren.
The staff bent over backwards to make things work for you. They were very polite. The food was very good and the breakfast splendid. very pleasant location.
I found it very difficult to enjoy the pool with my family and their children. We chose the hotel for the pool but it was full of old people doing lengths who did nothing but complain. If it is a length pool it should be certain hours for swimmers and certain hours for family swimming. i dont think it is a family hotel which I found very disappointing. Mattresses very dirty and old in my room and uncomfortable.
I loved the Hotel but was very disappointed with the staff were not very friendly . not helpful at all customer service was not good . i am a Hotel Manager customer servies is my highest prority ,
It was very clean and the location and the grounds were beautiful
There was a very good, friendly atmosphere which made us feel comfortable. The food, in both the restaurant and the brasserie, was excellent, and the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant.
We stayed at gph after a wedding there that day,so that we could enjoy the function. The staff were excellent (especially the ones who dealt with the reception. We would reccomend a stay to all our freinds.
the breakfast was amazing!and the waitress was very friendly and helpfull.the pool was a bonus. just a 5min walk was a pub called the Scotland where we were given a warm welcome.
been left in cold for 15mins trying to wake the night porter to let us back in after a night out!
Location is good, off the main road with good car park with multiple security cameras. Hotel is quite nice, friendly staff but is a little worn round the edges.
The £80 price tag without breakfast is too much. The hotel is a bit of a rabbit warren with quite a hike with your bags if you are in a far away room. The free internet connection was not working.
It had a friendly atmosphere and was in the perfect location for a wedding we were attending. The staff were happy to help and the rooms were very comfortable.
Apart from the staff who sorted our many problems out there was nothing to like about the hotel
No booking confirmation from Booked.net to the hotel. Dirty room.
Mould around sealent in bathroom, bad odour from drains, poor service at bar during event.
